•6/7/2019: Wade Davis was activated from the 10-Day IL. He’ll return to the closer’s role in the near future, if not immediately.
•6/5/2019: Craig Kimbrel agreed to a multi-year contract with the Cubs. He’s expected to join the team as early as mid-June and should be their closer soon after.
•6/4/2019: Pedro Strop has been activated from the 10-Day IL. He’ll likely return to the Cubs’ closer role in the near future, if not immediately.
•5/27/2019: The Orioles have removed Mychal Givens from the closer’s role and will go with a committee that could include several relievers. Shawn Armstrong picked up the save on Monday.
•5/10/2019: Struggling Braves closer A.J. Minter was optioned to Triple-A. Luke Jackson, who had already been pushing Minter for save chances, is now the leading candidate to take on the closer’s role.
•5/9/2019: Shawn Kelley was placed on the 10-Day IL due to an infection. Chris Martin will be the Rangers’ closer, although Jose Leclerc could return to the role in the near future. He has pitched three scoreless innings in two appearances since being removed from the closer’s role.
•5/8/2019: Cubs closer Pedro Strop was placed on the 10-Day IL due to a strained hamstring. Steve Cishek is the leading candidate for save chances in what’s expected to be a closer committee.
•5/5/2019: A’s closer Blake Treinen was not available on Saturday and is doubtful for Sunday due to elbow discomfort.
•5/1/2019: Jose Leclerc has been removed from the Rangers’ closer role and will only work in low leverage situations for the time being. Shawn Kelley and Chris Martin are the leading candidates for save chances.

•4/24/2019: Cody Allen has been removed from the Angels’ closer role. They’re expected to go with a committee that includes Ty Buttrey, Hansel Robles and Luis Garcia.
•4/17/2019: Braves pitcher Arodys Vizcaino is expected to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
•4/16/2019: Jeremy Jeffress, who saved 15 games for the Brewers in ’18, was activated from the 10-Day IL. He’s expected to be in the mix for save chances with Josh Hader, although it’s not clear how soon that will happen.
•4/15/2019: Blue Jays closer Ken Giles was unavailable on Monday because he was sick. Joe Biagini pitched a 1-2-3 9th to pick up his 1st save.
•4/15/2019: David Robertson, part of the Philles’ closer committee, was placed on the 10-Day IL due to elbow soreness. Seranthony Dominguez and Hector Neris are the leading candidates for save chances.
