With 12 hits in his last 25 at-bats, Hicks has done all he can to get another shot at the Twins’ CF job.

Philadelphia PhilliesAaron Nola, SP:  2.04 ERA, 39.2 IP, 29H, 4 BB, 29 K in six Double-A starts

Zach Eflin isn’t the only AA pitcher pushing for a big league call-up; Nola has dominated since a shaky 1st start (35 IP, 24 H, 5 ER, 3 BB, 27 K in last 5 starts).

RELIEVERS ON THE RISE

This feature will return next week.

LOSING A GRIP

Cleveland IndiansJose Ramirez, SS: .173 BA, HR, 4 BB, 16 K, 3 SB

Indians can’t afford to be much more patient with top prospect Francisco Lindor if Ramirez isn’t hitting.

Boston Red SoxJoe Kelly, SP: 6.35 ERA, 34 IP, 31 H, 15 BB, 34 K in 6 starts

With a new pitching coach in place, Kelly could get 1-2 more starts to get straightened out but the leash is getting shorter.
