KNOCKING DOWN THE DOOR
Carlos Sanchez, 2B: .407 BA, 2 HR, 10 2B, 4 BB, 20 K, 5 SB in Triple-A
Micah Johnson does not appear ready for the majors and Sanchez (15 for last 23) is too good for Triple-A. Something has to give.
Noah Syndergaard, SP: 1.66 ERA, 21.2 IP, 15 H, 8 BB, 26 K in four Triple-A starts
After being upstaged by teammate Steven Matz early on, Syndergaard is showing why he’s considered the Mets’ top prospect w/ back-to-back dominant starts (14 IP, 0 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 19 K)

This feature will return next week.
LOSING A GRIP
Danny Santana, SS: .267 BA, 0 HR, 5 2B, 0 BB, 27 K, SB
Finally heating up at the plate but his 0 BB/27 K rate is as bad as it can get and he’s also committing errors (9 errors in 22 games) at an alarming rate.
Four of six starts have been awful, including 12 ER’s and 17 H’s allowed in his last 8.1 IP.
