James Shields – We like Shields as the mound pick over opponent Bumgarner because of the price point. The game with San Diego and San Francsico is a toss-up, but run production continues to be an issue in San Diego with a combination of strong pitching and ballpark conditions. The Padres won a 1-0 game last night against the Giants.
Mike Trout – Trout has four hits in 13 trips career-wise against Kansas City starter Jeremy Guthrie. The Angels are expected to score close to five runs tonight, so we like Mike to contribute. He had two hits last night.
Ryan Braun – The Brewers are ice cold to open the season and in this case, that’s not a good thing. We see them finally getting off the schneid behind Braun, who had six hits in 16 trips against Pittsburgh’s Vance Worley.
Aramis Ramirez – Ramirez also has a decent track record against Worley with a 5-for-16 mark, although he went 0-for-4 last night. We are just on the due factor with the Brewers tonight against the Bucs.
