Per the Cards transaction section I believe Eric Freyer was picked up by the Pirates and not the Phillies. Fryer was out of options with the Cards had to let him go then hoped he would clear waivers, which didn’t happen.

  2. Arredbird

    Randy Arozarena
    B/T – R/R
    Hgt/Wt – 5’11” 170 lbs
    DOB – 2/22/1995
Cuba – international free agent, signed 7/26/16 for $1,250,000

Typical Redbird off season, one splash and done. They lost 25+ HRs with Moss and Hazelbaker, replaced maybe 15 with Fowler. As we sit right now it’s not going to be any different than last year. I don’t want them to mortgage there future, grow a set, step out there!

Of the projected starting 8 position players, most are coming off of good season. I think they’re hoping for better all-around seasons from Wong/Grichuk and both did show improvement after returning from AAA. They can be a very good offense. I’d be more worried about rotation depth than the lineup.

Thanks! Just realized there are 2 Connor Jones’ in the database. The lefty pitcher is with the Yankees. All fixed.
