MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Seattle MarinersA trio of aces are the high-dollar hurlers on Sunday afternoon, as Washington’s Max Scherzer, Seattle’s Felix Hernandez (pictured) and the season debut of White Sox left-hander Chris Sale.

Fernandez struck out 10 in the opener, allowing two hits over seven innings to the Angels.

Several teams are targeted to score approximately five runs on Sunday, according to oddsmakers, as the Nationals, Brewers, Rockies, Dodgers, Indians, Orioles, White Sox and Astros are the favorites to produce the most offense.

Washington faces journeyman pitcher Sean O’Sullivan, who now toils for Philadelphia. Sullivan has a career ERA of 5.91, but he got the fifth-starter sport until Chad Billingsley returns.

Pittsburgh OF Andrew McCutchen missed Saturday night’s game with a knee injury and was questionable for Sunday afternoon at Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, in Cleveland, Detroit’s Victor Martinez left Saturday’s game with a leg injury and is questionable today against the Indians. Cleveland’s Michael Brantley likely remains out with a bad back, while Indians catcher Yan Gomes was injured late in the game Saturday night with a right knee sprain.

The ESPN nightcap is Red Sox-Yankees, as Clay Bucholz faces Masahiro Tanaka.
