STARTING PITCHERS
Tyson Ross – The Padres hurler is the low-priced option and in the lowest-scoring ballpark. We take the upside with his strikeout potential today against the Giants.
POSITION PLAYERS
Desmond Jennings – Jennings had a hit in each of the first four games until taking the collar last night. He also has four walks and a stolen base so far. He has a 4-for-11 mark against Henderson Alvarez, of the Marlins, with two HRs and four RBI.
Neil Walker – Walker continues to be well-owned and its usually because of his strong BvP numbers. Here again he appears to have a good, familiar matchup, with an 11-for-33 lifetime against Lohse with seven walks and nine RBI.
Kendrys Morales – Kendrys is 10-for-28 lifetime against C.J. Wilson, and has opened the season on a tear with a .400 average after going 5-for-9 so far in the series against his former team, the Angels.
Alex Rios – Rios also fares well against Wilson, going 8-for-21 with two HRs, three walks and five RBI. He is hitting .300 so far after the first week.
Miguel Montero – Montero is 0-for-8 so far this season, but we have him getting his season on track today against Jordan Lyles, as the Cubs’ catcher is 7-for-14 lifetime against him with two doubles and five RBI.
Jimmy Rollins – Rollins is hitting under .200 so far, but he has had some modest success against Josh Collmenter, going 5-for-13 with two doubles.
