Saturday’s resourceful plays from RosterResource.com
Enes Kanter – We’ll cut Enes some slack for his moderately sub-par outing against SA on Wed. He certainly has been one of the best producers around for the last 2 1/2 weeks, so we’re not going to think he won’t perform to his new standard tonight at his former squad Utah. Still okay for the 7.1k at FanDuel. With Favors out for the Jazz, we bump Kanter even more against the injury-riddled opponent.
Steven Adams – Adams laid an egg as a value play at San Antonio on Wed., but given the likely 30 minutes of play due to the Thunder’s depleted front court, gives us no choice but to continue to make a play on him. His price has risen with his minutes, however, from 4.2k to now 5.4k.
Trevor Booker – Trevor had a great game last night with 25 fantasy points in just 19 min. at 3.6k on FanDuel. His minutes weren’t necessarily up, but he had five assists and two steals to go with his standard output of six points and five rebounds. He has to be in your lineup and he could get 30 fantasy tonight, as Derrick Favors could be out after injuring his back last night and was listed as questionable this morning.
Rudy Gobert – Rudy had 14 points and 14 boards last night at DEN to just surpass projection. Sometimes scoring can be of a problem for him, so that has led to a few fantasy duds over the last five games. Gobert goes up against the player he replaced in Enes Kanter.
Gordon Hayward – More shots for Gordon if injured Derrick Favors misses the game for the Jazz. Hayward returned from a two-game spell from a shoulder injury and nearly put up 40 fantasy points last night in a blowout loss at DEN.
Marvin Williams – He gets a bump for tonight with injuries to the Charlotte front court. Marvin scored 24 fantasy points last night and should expect a full night’s work if the Hornets injuries sideline one or two front-court mates.
Lance Stephenson – Lance could get a start here, as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) and Cody Zeller (shoulder) were both listed as questionable overnight, which could produce a nice value at just 3.8k at FD. We could see Lance pick up 20 fantasy points tonight at home against the ATL reserves.
Pau Gasol – Pau should get more than 40 FPs tonight at home against the lowly Knicks, although the blowout risk is huge here with the Bulls favored by 16.5 points. He will have his way early, however.
Jimmy Butler – Jimmy has looked fine in his first two outings back from an elbow injury, averaging just over 30 fantasy points. The Bulls are expected to crush New York in this game, so there is some caution there. He played nearly 40 minutes in each of the last two games, quickly back into the fold for CHI.
Joakim Noah – Noah is pretty cheap at DK, but the blowout risk is likely to keep us off the Chicago center. Still a 4x at 6.9k may fit your needs, as he hasn’t disappointed in five-straight par-or-better performances.
LaMarcus Aldridge – LMA is up against DEN at home, where he will definitely be in the DK lineup, but he is a lot more expensive at FD. The Nuggets are porous down low, so with limited options at the top of the salary scale, Aldridge could just fit your needs and provide enough punch with just a quality night.
Damian Lillard – We can expect a bounce back at home for Lillard, as we can likely roster the Portland PG at both sites, if necessary. He scored just 11 points last night on 4-for-15 shooting following his 50-point fantasy performance on Wed.
Robin Lopez – RoLo gets a bump against DEN tonight after going for 25 fantasy points in the 29 minutes last night. He hasn’t been great this month, but he grabbed 10 rebounds last night and made 5-of-6 from the field. We look for a repeat effort at home tonight.
Zaza Pachulia – The MIL C had been pretty much easily making his projection with a couple of par performances thrown in before falling just a bit short on Thursday vs. IND. Zaza’s price is up 1.4k at FanDuel over his profitable stretch, but his upside, which he has shown several times this month, still gives us room to consider him a play.
Ersan Ilyasova – Especially if Golden State starts resting players we can give their opponents a bump, even though the Warriors’ bench is still highly skilled on both ends. Ersan is 6k on FanDuel and has been a streaky money maker for his backers for the last two weeks, sans one clunker three games ago against the Warriors.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – We expect a lot out of Giannis and his 7.5k salary these days, but he always seems to get us what we need over the last two weeks. We’re going to ask for 35 or more from him tonight against the Warriors, who could be sitting their regulars on the back end after crushing Memphis last night.
John Henson – The Bucks PF is to benefit from sitting Warriors, as will possibly other Milwaukee players. We can have Henson for just 4.5k at FanDuel. He had two 30-point fantasy performances in the last 10 days and scored 19 FPs on Wed. at home vs. Indiana.
