The Thursday NBA fantasy card might be overlooked a bit as many fans – as well as national television – shifts attention to their college brackets. With the limited amount of players available, assuring points in a cash-game format could be the particular strategy on this given night.
Considering a standard stacking strategy, we’re going to go where the points are at. And in this case, it is the game between the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets at Toyota Center.
James Harden – You will either be rostering Harden or Anthony Davis, but not both, so we want the best players possible in the DEN-HOU game. Plus, Davis really twisted his knee on an awkward fall two nights ago and is a game-time decision on Thur. We will still need to take a look at a game considering his marquee price, so let’s take his projection down just a notch tonight and play The Beard.
Terrence Jones – DEN is dead-last against PFs, so Jones has to be in your lineup. He should have a big game as part of our stack, as we are expecting over 30 FP.
Corey Brewer – His value ($5400k) on FD can’t be overlooked. He puts up points no matter what and DEN is 27th against SFs. Brewer has 32 or more fantasy points in four of his last five games.
Ty Lawson – He goes up against Patrick Beverley and should be refreshed and ready after he was rested for Monday’s game against MEM. He is a definite play on FD at 7.5k. He is likely to score more than 30 FP.
Kenneth Faried – He should have a great game against HOU with no big men to go up against, as every player in this game is 6-foot-9 or shorter. Faried should dominate after resting last game on Mon., and hasn’t played since the double OT game against NO last Sun. He is a better value at FD since he has the same price at both major sites.
