Our list of value selections for tonight…
Beno Udrih, MEM – With Mike Conley out, Udrih, while not great, gets value with his decent numbers. Including him allows you to pick up value on a five-game slate. Udrih would have been the guy to look to on Monday if it wasn’t for Zach LaVine and Jameer Nelson.
Tyler Ennis, MIL – Ennis is a play if Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless are out. If MCW is out only, then Bayless moves up to heavy minutes to be a great play. Bayless is banged up, however, and will likely miss Tuesday night.
Austin Rivers, LAC – Could be sneaky with garbage time minutes and potential for a blowout with Chris Paul possibly leaving the game by the fourth. Could get additional minutes if Matt Barnes is out because Hedo Turkoglu is next. With Jamal Crawford out, Rivers is the first G of the bench. Rivers’ minutes increase when the Clippers build a large lead.
Courtney Lee, MEM – Lee is likely not to rest tonight and remains inexpensive for the most part. While inconsistent, he scored 17 points two games ago and may be asked to score more if the Grizzlies indeed are short-handed tonight.
Jody Meeks, DET – Very productive in his last outing with 29 FP, scoring DD in three of L4, playing at least 24 minutes. When Kentavious Caldwell-Pope starts to struggle, Meeks gets to fire away. Memphis may have their lesser defensive unit and may have to double on Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe, leaving a shooter like Meeks extra uncontested attempts.
Corey Brewer, HOU – Sneaky play, as over the last four games he has excellent production, including over 30 FP three games in-a-row before the last outing. His salary has been on the rise, but still cheap enough if he gets blowout minutes.
Tiago Splitter, SA – Speculative play here. Good value either way, but if Tim Duncan is rested, Splitter gets the call for sure. Going against the Knicks and Andrea Bargnani is a good matchup for anyone, especially when the Center position is not very deep tonight.
